How it works

Three steps and one useful phone call

Most finance enquiries start with you chasing someone. Ours start with someone calling you, prepared.

  1. 1

Pick what you need help with

ATO debt, equipment, a cash flow gap, borrowing against property, refinancing — or "not sure yet". Add the amount, how urgent it is and your state.

  2. 2

    Get your have-this-ready list

The call-prep tool shows the handful of details that matter for your situation, plus the questions you'll likely be asked.

  3. 3

    A specialist rings you

Request the call-back in about a minute. A real person reads it first, then calls in your chosen window to talk through realistic options.

What should you have ready for your call?

Tap a situation. You'll see the first details a specialist usually needs and the question they'll open with. The full tool adds your amount, urgency, state and call window.

Open the full call-prep tool →

Have ready

  • Your ATO balance from Online services for business (or a statement from your tax agent)
  • Which parts are GST, PAYG withholding, super guarantee or income tax
  • Lodgement status — any BAS or returns still outstanding

They'll probably start with

"How much is owed to the ATO, and is everything lodged?"

The first call

What a good first call actually sounds like

An illustrative example for a café owner with a quarterly BAS due and a slow month behind them. No sales pitch, no rush — just the questions that get to realistic options.

More on what the call covers →

SpecialistThanks for the details on the form. You mentioned the BAS is due on the 28th — roughly how much is it, and is it lodged yet?

OwnerAbout $18k. My bookkeeper's lodging it this week. Winter was slow and the cash just isn't there.

SpecialistUnderstood. What do takings usually look like once spring picks up? And is there anything else owing to the ATO?

OwnerNothing else owing. Spring's normally a lot stronger — I've got the last two years in the software.

SpecialistThat helps a lot. If you can send your last few months of bank statements, I can tell you which options fit and what each would cost in dollars.

Illustrative example only. Not a real client.

Call-back myths

Things people worry about before they ask

"Asking for a call-back will show up on my credit file."

It won't. Talking through your situation involves no credit check. That conversation only happens if you choose to apply.

"I'll get ten different lenders ringing me by lunchtime."

Not from us. Your request stays with one team, and one specialist calls you. No lead auctions.

"I need a full document pack before I'm allowed to ask."

You don't. A few key details make the call more useful, and the specialist tells you what else matters for your situation.

"An ATO debt or a past default means there's no point calling."

Both are looked at case by case. Raising them early usually opens more doors than hoping they won't come up.

Workshop owner taking a phone call at his bench

Real people, plain answers

Built for owners who'd rather talk it through

You're running a workshop, a café, a crew or a warehouse. You don't have an hour to fill in forms and wait on hold. So we flipped it: a minute to tell us what's going on, then a person who rings you, knows what you asked about, and tells you straight what's realistic — including when borrowing isn't the answer.

No credit check to ask

Requesting a call-back and talking through your situation doesn't touch your credit file. That only comes up if you decide to go ahead.

One call, not twenty

We don't spray your details across a pile of lenders. No lead farming, no flood of strangers ringing you.

A real specialist rings you

A person reads your request before they call, so the first conversation starts where you are. Accurate answers on the form mean the right option first time.

Please fill in the request accurately — the amount, your state and any property you own matter most. It's how we match you properly on the first call.

Questions about Loan Hotline

Is there a phone number I can call?

Loan Hotline works the other way round: you request a call-back and a lending specialist rings you in the window you choose. It means nobody waits on hold, and the person who calls has already read what you need.

Does requesting a call-back affect my credit score?

No. There's no credit check when you first enquire or when we talk through options. A credit check only comes up if you decide to go ahead with an application.

Will my details be passed to lots of lenders?

No. Your request goes to one team and a real person works on it. We don't sell or spray enquiries, so you won't be flooded with calls from strangers.

How much can a business borrow?

Property-secured business loans run from $20,000 to $5,000,000 using first mortgages, second mortgages or caveats over residential or commercial property. Unsecured and cash-flow options for trading businesses are typically $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements.

What should I have ready before the call?

It depends on the situation. Use the call-prep tool: pick your topic, amount and state and it lists the details that matter, such as ATO balances for a tax debt or a supplier quote for equipment. Your ABN, ID and recent bank statements help in almost every case.

Can you help if I have ATO debt or past credit issues?

Often, yes. Both are considered case by case. Mention them up front on the form and on the call — it lets the specialist look at the right options straight away instead of discovering them later.

What time will you call?

You pick a preferred window in your own local time, and the call-prep tool shows how that lines up across time zones and daylight saving. Keep your phone nearby around then, as the call may come from a number you don't recognise.

Is this for personal loans or home loans?

No. Loan Hotline is for business purposes only — tax, stock, equipment, wages, fit-outs, buying a business, refinancing business debt and similar. The security can be a home, but the purpose must be business.
