FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how our call-backs work, what we can help with and what happens to your details.
The call-back
Is there a phone number I can ring?
Loan Hotline is call-back first, so we don't run an inbound queue. You request a call-back in about a minute, choose a window, and a lending specialist rings you having already read your situation.
When will you call?
In the window you choose, in your own local time, where possible. Requests made outside business hours, or after your window has passed, are picked up at the next suitable time. Keep your phone nearby — the call may come from a number you don't recognise.
What if I miss the call?
The specialist will usually try again and may leave a voicemail or text. You can also send a short new request mentioning that you missed the call and giving a better window. You won't have to start over.
How do I know the call is really from you?
It will be about the topic you asked about, around the window you chose. We never ask for banking passwords and never charge a fee to release a loan. If anything seems off, hang up and reconnect through this website.
Can my accountant or business partner join the call?
Yes. An owner or director who can speak for the business needs to be on the call, but others are welcome to join and answer detailed questions.
Credit checks and your details
Does asking for a call-back affect my credit score?
No. There's no credit check when you first enquire or when we talk through options. A credit check only comes up if you decide to go ahead with an application.
Will my details be sent to lots of lenders?
No. Your request goes to one team and a real person works on it. We don't sell enquiries or spray them across a list of lenders, so you won't be flooded with calls.
Why do you ask for accurate answers on the form?
Because the amount, purpose, state and any property you own decide which options are realistic. Accurate answers let the specialist prepare properly and match you to the right option first time.
Loans and eligibility
How much can a business borrow?
Property-secured business loans range from $20,000 to $5,000,000 using first mortgages, second mortgages or caveats over residential or commercial property. Unsecured and cash-flow options for trading businesses typically run from $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements.
What can the money be used for?
Business purposes only: tax and ATO balances, equipment and vehicles, stock, wages and super, fit-outs, buying a business, refinancing business debt, cash flow gaps and similar. We don't arrange personal loans or home loans.
Can you help if I owe the ATO?
Often, yes. ATO debt is considered case by case. Having returns and activity statements lodged and knowing your exact balance makes a big difference. See our ATO debt call prep for what to have ready.
Can you help with past credit issues?
Past credit issues are considered case by case. Mention them up front with a short explanation of what happened, when, and whether it's resolved. Property security often widens the options.
Can a newer business get finance?
Often, though there are fewer options and more questions when a business has traded for less than two years. Industry experience, contracts in place and property security all help.
Can I use my home as security for a business loan?
Yes. The loan is still a business loan because the purpose is business. Expect questions about who owns the home, what's owed on it and how the loan will be repaid.
Costs and timing
What are your interest rates?
We don't publish rates, because every business loan is priced on the situation — security, trading, purpose, term and timing. On the call, ask for the total cost in dollars, including every fee, for the options that fit you.
How quickly can funds arrive?
It depends on the option, the security and how quickly documents are provided. The first call will give you a realistic timeline for your situation and tell you what could slow it down.
Are there fees to request a call-back?
No. Requesting a call-back and talking through options costs nothing. Any fees for a loan are explained in dollars before you decide to go ahead.
Can I repay a loan early?
Many loans allow early repayment, but terms vary. Ask what early repayment would cost and save, and get the answer in writing before you sign.
